Lionel Messi Believes He Will Never Be Equal To Maradona
Football flags around the world are being dusted off in anticipation of the greatest football event on the planet, yet for one Argentinian star it is business as usual. Lionel Messi has been compared by pundits to Diego Maradona however, he has recently stated that he has no desire to match his hero and now national coach. With recent outings for the Blaugrana, these comparisons of the two number 10′s appear to have reignited with the debate as to whether Messi can match Maradonas genious a hot topic around the footballing world. Like myself Lionel Messi believes Diego Maradona is the best of all time and the fact that Messi himself states this reinforces the belief of footballing experts that Messi does not come close to the legendary Maradona.
Lionel Messi is quoted as saying that playing for Barcalona and Argentina are completely different though he believes that Argentina are in good form and can progress well in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The football flags will be flying high on June 11 when the 2010 World Cup begins in South Africa and Lionel Messi firmly believes that Argentina can surprise the footballing world. I cannot wait for the kick off and will be flying the football flag of St George proudly from my rooftop.
